Eli Ku grew up without a permanent home — moving between friends’ houses as a teenager when circumstances pushed him into the world before most kids graduate. What those years gave him wasn’t bitterness. It was a conviction: if you can build and fix homes, you’ll never be without one. That belief took him straight to the Carpenters Union out of high school — learning construction from the foundation up, one trade at a time.

In 2011, Eli enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Horizontal Construction Engineer. For eight years, he ran multi-million dollar infrastructure projects with the precision the military demands: no shortcuts, no second-guessing, no work that isn’t worthy of the people who depend on it. He managed up to $90M in total project value, oversaw $2M in equipment, and was responsible for $20M in materials and supplies.

After discharge, Eli founded a construction company, invested in real estate, and executed full-scale home renovations. What he kept finding was a gap no one was filling: homeowners couldn’t get high-quality installation work at fair prices — and the big names they trusted didn’t actually do the work themselves. AKK was built to close that gap.

Today, AKK Platinum Installations supplies premium home improvement products and delivers expert installation across Colorado Springs — with crews that are tested on AKK’s own properties before they ever step inside a customer’s home. Eli is a husband and father of three. This is built to last.
